Companies like this put such a black on our industry, they are the reason so many people get burned and left with a bad taste in their mouths. The web design industry has taken the same hit and now the Internet Marketing business is going through the same issues.

Just the fact that he replied to this blog the way he did is proof positive this company is bad news.

The best thing SEO’s and SEM’s can do moving forward is just consult and educate our customers on what’s right and what’s wrong, some will trust you some will not because they have been poisoned by companies like Wisdek, eventually they will come around and turn into your best clients. All it takes in this business is good customer service, knowledge of how things work and building trust.

dear Mr. hurvetz, you more than likely came from the mortgage industry pitching your no interest loans and destroying peoples lives, don’t ruin our industry.

I signed up with theses guys and they got me to the top of sponsored links. Although it would often not be there are not present in any areas. You call them and they credit you double the downtime!, the scam is that you have to keep calling in and telling them your website is not ranking there!. So its a lot of frustration dealing with them on the phone, they often do no return your calls or emails when they said they will. the $1400 i paid for three months has not been worth it!. If i did pay per click i would spend $30 a month!. Dont waste your time!

Very interesting info. In reviewing several companies’ websites offering SEO services, all much more expensive than Wisdek, the low cost option provided by them seemed rather expensive as there are FREE analytics tools available. Having just completed an Internet Marketing course from USF,I’ve also learned there’s a lot more to SEO than optimizing for 10,20,40 (long or short-tailed) keywords and cleaning up coding. Judging by the number of grammatical errors I found on their site alone, I would not hire this firm. The old adage, “If it sounds too good to be true,it probably is”,applies.

I’m the webmaster/marketing person for a company and Wisdek (Wizdec) called me several months ago. The very first time I must have let the guy talk past a certain amount of time before I started asking questions – I think I probably asked for their URL and went to check out their website to qualify them (and did a web search). Well since then I get a call ALMOST EVERY WEEK and despite TELLING THEM TO REMOVE ME FROM THEIR CALL LIST, and telling them I WILL NEVER HIRE THEM they STILL CALL ME. I swear half the time its the same voice but a different name every time. Its either the biggest scam or the most incompetent company I have ever come across (possibly both). To Sean, thank you for putting up a post so people can let others know to run from this company. Regards.

Erin thanks for chiming in, these guys screwed us pretty bad. We signed up for their services and thought it was great that our website was on the first page at the top. This lasted roughly three days, then nothing…

After several calls and emails to cancel we were informed it was a technical error and they would get back to us. What we really wanted was to cancel, we had zero results from them. Four months later our accoutant tells us some company has been withdrawing money from our account under a different name but it turns out is was Wisdek.

When confronted Erin says the cancellation was null and void because we worked through our “customer service” guy, Chester Troy and not through a “salesman.” Chester had quit after our last conversation regarding cancelling.

Wisdek is a great bunch of guys and Erin is the cream of the crop at Wisdek. Search the internet, theres hundreds of similar stories about the shady business of Wisdek.

These guys contacted one of my customers today and I have such a good relationship ( 1 to 1 , that is ) that they call me for everything including and often on things that have nothing to do with SEO. Wisedek is offering my client 6 key words on a 100% adwords play unlimited clicks running for Miami for AC Repair like I said 5 other keywords running 24 hours per day and NO extra charges for impressions. I have access to my clients current adwords campaign and he is getting 40 clicks per day…. They will have to regulate his ad to breakeven at best. those keywords for a 6/10 quality score are still going for 3-8 dollars per click. Sounds too good to be true.

yeah, i totally agree with you, wisdek is a scam! for all its services. they are a bunch of Israeli people who need to get money, nor caring about if they will deliver or not, after a whole year begging to get my service from wisdek, i got my google adwords PPC from http://www.bamdac.net as well as my SEO package from the same company paying almost half of what i paid those wisdek people, and bamdac actually got me what i wanted
