Why It’s Vital To Brand Your Digital Media Advertising Identically to Web

Alright – this is huge, and some business owners don’t realize they are doing this… and it’s a concern that leaves many marketing professionals and business owners scratching their heads pondering why their Digital Media Ads (T.V Commercial, Radio etc..) are not driving as much traffic to their website as they expected. Here is what I have seen with 9 out of 10 cases…

Inconsistent branding between the two verticals.

Example:

John Doe has a law firm in Denver. His T.V  Commercial brands him as John Doe’s Law Firm. John decides its time to get a website so he goes with jcdoe.com and brands  his website by his full name; Johnny C.  Doe Law Firm rather than John Doe as his T.V Commercial branding delivers.  Did you catch the mistake?

If John Doe is branding himself on his commercials as “John Doe” he needs  to do the same with his website so people who caught his commercial can find him by John Doe.

The bottom line is this: Your branding and your advertising needs to be consistent otherwise you are WASTING your money. T.V Commercials are  typically branding tools. People will remember your commercials based on your brand and name. They will at some point later Google you based on your T.V Commercial and  not be able to find you, leaving a potential customer frustrated, giving up and going to your competition.
